If I were in charge of the world

I’d cancel school,

Early mornings,

Rain checks and also

Sickness.

If I were  in charge of the world

There’d be less criminal

Less animal cruelty and

More love for everyone and everything.

If I were in charge of the world

You wouldn’t have to do boring chores.

You wouldn’t have to get upset.

You wouldn’t have vegetables.

Or “Excuse me, what did you say?”

You wouldn’t even have annoying adults around.

If I were in charge of the world

A barbecue chip would be a vegetable.

All horror movies would be ruined and thrown away.

And a person who sometimes forgot small things

And sometimes forgot to do something

Would still be allowed to be

In charge of the world.
