Color Story
I look up to the bright blue sky. I pop a blueberry into my mouth and continue spacing out. My sapphire ring glints in the sun. As I lay on the semi hard ground, I think of Alice in Wonderland and the funny caterpillar. I let out a giggle and sit up.

I look into my cat’s gorgeous emerald eyes. Patting her soft head I look around in the lush grass surrounding us, seeing if there’s anything for her to chase. Then I see someone I know with another someone I know, jealousy courses through my veins. I find a bright colored leaf and shred it. Anger and sadness flow through my body.

Enraged and seeing red I storm over to him and push him. He falls as if in slow motion. When he picks himself up he’s bleeding. Anger and pain flashes in his eyes. Terrified I touch his wound and he slaps my hand away, before laying in the grass.

For a split second my world goes black. The world is spinning around me. I kneel down next to him and see his eyes are shut. Slowly I push his eyelid up and see it’s void of any life. I’m close to passing out, with a rush of speed I propel myself away from him.

Two weeks later my world is a bleak gray. Finding out from the new he was stabbed. I hadn’t killed him- It was that other person. I should be happy to know I hadn’t killed him, but I’m not. The love of my life is gone forever and he didn’t even know I liked him.

  1. Oh, wow--that last line! I also like the simplicity of this one: "As I lay on the semi hard ground, I think of Alice in Wonderland and the funny caterpillar. I let out a giggle and sit up. "
