Creative Writing Final

Creative Writing Final
  1. In this class I have written a lot of things, both in my journal and on my blog. Each piece is unique. You can tell how I’m feeling when I write because it will show in the piece.

2. I read mostly pieces from my friends- Audrey and Sarah. I read others pieces if it was required. I remember reading something of Ralph’s about 50’s music and I think that’s how our friendship started. In the beginning of the year I read a lot of books but I never finished the series.

3. When I was setting up my blog I was thoroughly frustrated and confused. I had to keep asking Audrey for help because I had no idea what I was doing and I’m not really tech savy. The way I came up with my blog name was just using my name and adding blog to it. Like I said- I’m not creative. I’m not sure who read my blog. I know Audrey would if I pestered her about it, and other people would if they had to. I would’ve wanted anyone to read it and I wish they would’ve left comments. I probably won’t use my blog in the future, I will leave it as a high school memory to look back on and relive that part of my life.

4. As for my journal- there’s a lot of writing in it. Mostly things Mrs. Fraser assigned. The only people who would read it would be people who want to know more about me or snoopers, other than that nobody would care. I will continue to journal but not in that journal- that journal will be more memories of my favorite class in highschool. I will probably write about things that happen in my everyday life that I will want to remember.

5. He was there when I needed him the most.
He was there when I was having a bad day.
He was the one I would call and talk to until one in the morning.
He was the one that made me tell him I loved him even though I knew he didn’t feel the same way.
He was the one that would send me sweet messages that I never wanted to get rid of.
He was a thrilling person
He was the man I wanted to be with forever.
But he was also the one who broke my heart.
He was the one who made me cry.
He was the the one that embarrassed me in front of his friends and would laugh at me for it.
He was my best friend and worst enemy.
He was my everything.
And now he is my nothing.
He isn’t there for me when I cry.
He isn’t there for me to call.
He isn’t there to send me sweet messages.
He isn’t the one to tell me he loves me.
All he is- is a ghost.
This piece is about someone who I use to love but then suddenly dropped me from his life and it kills me. He was a very important person and always will be.

6. “I am a tiny ladybug trying to make my way through life.” That is a piece from my I Am Poem. It’s my favorite piece in the whole poem.

7. I’m not sure what kind of creative writing I will do but I hope to be a big time author and get my name out there. What I get from creative writing is freedom to be who I am and calmness, also ideas. This differs from writing I do in school or regular life because people usually expect certain things and I have to write to please them, with this I can write whatever I want and not cater to pleasing others.

8. I loved reading your writing pieces and I really enjoyed having class with you. Continue doing good things in life and go wherever the wind takes you :)

  1. I was friends with a lot of seniors this year, and as they were leaving they all gave me really good advice for my last year and the rest of my life. It is so very important that you are happy with yourself! Find out who you are now, and learn to love it. Say yes to as many things as you can, while you still can. It’s good to have a little bit of stress about your classes and to maintain good grades, but remember that your grades are a small part of a very big picture. Focus on making good memories and gaining confidence in yourself. It’s okay to be proud of yourself! And everyone in this class should be proud of themselves considering we’ve all made it through another school year. If you can be truly happy with who you are and what you’ve done, you’re winning at life.

  3. Thank you, Jennifer! This line makes me happy: "With this I can write whatever I want and not cater to pleasing others." That was exactly what I was going for in Creative Writing. I hope you keep writing and finding joy in doing so. Enjoy your summer in Connecticut...
